Day 3: Cape Coast — UNESCO World Heritage Site

Morning: Drive to Cape Coast (2.5 hours)

Depart Accra early for Cape Coast, the former capital of the Gold Coast colony. The scenic coastal drive passes through fishing villages and palm-fringed beaches.

Midday: Cape Coast Castle

Tour Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant historical sites in Africa. Built in 1653, it served as a major hub in the transatlantic slave trade. Walk through the haunting dungeons and the "Door of No Return" — a deeply moving and educational experience.

Afternoon: Elmina Castle

Just 15 minutes from Cape Coast, visit Elmina Castle, the oldest European building in sub-Saharan Africa (built in 1482 by the Portuguese). The fishing harbour at Elmina is one of the most photogenic spots in Ghana.

Day 4: Kakum National Park — Canopy Walk

Morning: Kakum Canopy Walkway

Visit Kakum National Park, home to Ghana's famous canopy walkway — a series of suspension bridges 40 metres above the tropical rainforest floor. The 350-metre walkway offers breathtaking views of the forest canopy and is one of only three such structures in Africa.

Midday: Kejetia Market (Kumasi Central Market)

Afternoon: Bonwire Kente Village

Drive 30 minutes to Bonwire, the birthplace of kente cloth weaving. Watch master weavers create intricate kente patterns on traditional looms, and purchase authentic kente directly from the artisans.

Evening: Kumasi Nightlife

Enjoy Kumasi's vibrant food scene with fufu and light soup, the signature dish of the Ashanti region.

Day 6: Mole National Park or Wli Waterfalls

Option A: Mole National Park (Northern Ghana)

Mole National Park is Ghana's largest wildlife reserve, home to elephants, baboons, warthogs, antelopes, and over 300 bird species. A guided walking safari brings you face-to-face with elephants at the watering hole — an unforgettable experience.
