Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime 10-day, 9-night journey through Ghana, blending history, culture, and nature into an unforgettable adventure.
Your experience begins in Accra, where you will visit the Presidency and observe live proceedings at the Courts. From there, travel to the Kosombo Dam Site via the Shai Traditional Area, exploring the ancestral homes of the Shai people before their displacement by the British.
The journey continues to Kumasi, the historic capital of the Ashanti Kingdom. Highlights include the Cultural Centre, the Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, and the Manhyia Palace Museum, residence of the Asantehene. You will also explore the renowned craft villages—Ahwiaa for woodcarvings, Ntonso for Adinkra cloth printing, and Bonwire for traditional kente weaving—where you can learn the symbolism of patterns and even try your hand at the craft.
From Kumasi, you will depart for Cape Coast, stopping en route at Assin Manso, the historic Slave River and Memorial, marking the last bathing point of enslaved Africans before their march to the coast. Upon arrival, explore the Kakum National Park, where the famous Canopy Walkway offers a breathtaking perspective of the rainforest and its rich biodiversity.
In Elmina and Cape Coast, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Castles—powerful reminders of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Built in 1482 by the Portuguese, Elmina Castle is the largest slave dungeon in sub-Saharan Africa. Conclude your journey relaxing by the beach, mingling with local fishermen, and embracing Ghana’s vibrant coastal culture.
